About the Creator
Lynn Brown is the founder of Willamette Valley Dyslexia Center, a structured literacy tutoring center built from the ground up to serve students with reading difficulties using research-based methods. With over a decade of experience in special education and certification from the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), Lynn has developed a comprehensive proprietary curriculum called Decoded. Spanning three levels, Decoded covers everything from foundational decoding skills to advanced morphology, with embedded writing instruction woven throughout. In addition to leading a team of highly trained tutors, Lynn provides academic testing, runs a tiered on-demand learning academy on Patreon, and consults with schools and families across Oregon. Her work is grounded in the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham principles, and her passion lies in helping all children become confident, capable readers.
